“I’ve worked at Twin Creeks in the Activities Department for 10 years. I have never felt like I was going to work, I’ve felt each day is an opportunity to connect with our residents either by doing an activity, dinner, shows or special events. “I never thought that I would win a trip to Hawaii. My boyfriend and I had an oceanfront room at a beautiful resort and enjoyed relaxing by the pool in addition to the fabulous food! We had so many opportunities to see and do things that weren’t available to us ever before. “As one of the perks of working at Twin Creeks Retirement, I won a trip to the Southern Oregon Coast. With the help of our “super” G.M. Cassandra, I was able to pick the date I wanted to go. I chose a late summer time in September. The weather was better than you could ask for, temps in the 60s with low clouds. I started by driving to Winston and cutting across on Hwy 42 to Coos Bay. Stopped at the Casino, won’t say how much I lost, but Coos Bay was clear and cool. Drove over to Charleston and down to Bandon. Went through and walked around “Old Town.” Proceeded down Hwy 1 to Gold Beach and had lunch on the pier. Weather again was great. Made it down to Brookings with a few stops on the beach to sight see. Stayed in Brookings at the “Best Western Inn at the Beach” with a wonderful ocean view. I spent the time in Brookings walking around and sign seeing. I couldn’t have done better picking a destination to spend a great couple of days. It just goes to show you, working at Twin Creeks with our great and caring leadership is the place to work.”
